TTT: Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl since January of 2018. Jana writes, “it was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” In that spirit, link up with your list at That Artsy Reader Girl and comment with your list, link, or thoughts below.

10. The Boneless Mercies by April Genevieve Tucholke. Okay, listing this title has become an inside joke due to the fact it’s filled a tbr spot every month since January. I’ve put off this Beowulf reimagining all year, but must check off the “retelling” prompt for my reading challenge. It’s now or never. And the audiobook is currently downloaded on my phone, so…

9. A guide, also from my reading challenge. The Stranger Things guide: A World Turned Upside Down would have made a better fit alongside the Season 3 premiere in July, but I lacked time to focus on it. I don’t mind ending the year with a lighthearted read on a subject I adore, however.

8. The Splendid and the Vile by Erik Larson, releasing Feb. 2020. I really want to delve into this advanced reader’s copy soon, but have that unfinished challenge hanging over my head.

7. Beneath A Scarlet Sky the only certain read I have lined up is another WWII non-fiction sitting on my shelf. I’ve been itching to get to it, especially before the movie.

Winter is the ideal time for comfort, good food and coziness. Therefore, the remaining spots on my list are comprised of cook books I plan to leaf through and recipes I’ll dream of preparing. Actual meals may or may not result.

Baking with Kim Joy: cute and creative bakes to make you smile / Kim-Joy.

Tasting Table with Friends: recipes for modern entertaining / Geoff Bartakovics and Todd Coleman

The Wholesome Yum Keto easy keto cookbook: 100 simple low carb recipes: 10 ingredients or less / by Maya Krampf, founder of Wholesome Yum. Ugh, attempting to keto diet reboot after the holidays.

Italian folk magic: Rue’s kitchen witchery / Mary-Grace Fahrun.

The Essential Instant Pot Cookbook: fresh and foolproof recipes for your electric pressure cooker / Coco Morante- the instant pot is my most wished for gift. I’m prepping by familiarizing myself with the terminology and ingredient lists.

I won’t be posting for the Christmas Eve TTT, so I wish a very happy Season’s Readings to all. What book are you curling up with this winter?
